The main contact point for questions relating to the Bowel Screening Programme is the helpline number at the top of each page of this site [0800 0121 833].
The Bowel Screening Helpline is available between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, and all calls are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
They can advise on:
- general questions about bowel screening and the bowel screening programme
- how to take the test or repeat test
- your results and what happens next
If you are referred on for treatment or follow-up at your local hospital, then any questions about your specific treatment are probably best discussed with your GP or the clinical team at the hospital.
If at any time you have concerns about your own health (or the health of a family member), you should contact a health care professional, such as your GP or Practice Nurse. If you feel unwell, you should contact NHS 24 on 08454 24 24 24. Alternatively, call the emergency services on 999.
